Return to Largo Canyon, New Mexico
No, I didn't go back to the horse ranch, although I was close! I went hiking with the archeology club near there. We saw some cool petroglyphs and pictographs, and I met a lot of nice people. They were very knowledgeable about the Navajo and the Ancestral Puebloans, and I learned a lot. I had a great time!
Pictures: First one . . . see the "X" in the middle? There are several more x's, though hard to see in the picture. They represent stars, and this is called a star ceiling.
Second one to the right of first one: Two shields with a connector in between. To the right of Bill are "peckings" in the rock, also to represent stars, possibly Pleiades.
In the pic with the visible hand in it, look to the right, and you can see a buffalo and a turkey. They are not as "indented" as the hand, but still visible.
