This is me and Jim D during our first (I think) team penning run. Carol, the head wrangler and an awesome teacher, told me (I think after this run, hopefully) that I was holding the reins too high away from the horse's neck, and that I needed to choke up on the reins. But, oh, what a great time I had! This was the most awesome day yet! Team penning! Does this mean that I'm not a cowgirl-wannabe anymore and I'm really a cowgirl . . . ?!?!P.S. My horse for team penning was Dollar, who was very good, too. He was normally my roommate's horse, but she didn't do the team penning, so I got him.
